The White Mustang Band has been entertaining South Arkansas, North LA and parts of Texas for 17 years. Original band member Reece Young, brings high energy entertainment, vocals and musical ability to the stage front for the WMBand and 30 plus years of experience doing so. His wife, Wanda Young, got her musical start with the band 17 years ago singing backup. She is now the female vocalist and stage organizer. Bass-man William Young was an original Mustanger leaving the band after a few years to do other things. He is back with the White Mustang Band and is one of the top bass players in this area. His solid bass licks make for a very dance-able band. William keeps everyone on their toes with the music. John Cary from Magnolia, AR, plays lead on the keyboard, some guitar and brings a different vocal taste to the stage. John plays a honky tonk piano show that cannot be matched any where around. His joking demeanor works right in with the entertainment and fun of the band. The lead guitarist for the band is Jeff Martin. Jeff resides in Harmony Grove AR, and along with his fine country licks and rocking southern riffs, he has become a great asset to the band. And his vocals takes The Band to another level in music. Jeff is also easy going and likes to have fun which is a requirement in this band! We are very proud to have him. Kenny Nash is the newest member to the band, but you sure can't tell it when he plays. Kenny is the drummer and he lives in White Hall, AR but he was raised up around Parkers Chapel in South Arkansas. He has played with many bands over the years and Kenny has played for 30+ years and brings a driving dance beat to the band. And Kenny's easygoing joking demeanor fits right in with the rest of this crazy bunch.
And now a little about the history of the band. The White Mustang Band is coming up on 17 years of being a working band and has performed many, many shows including opening for Jimmy C. Newman in El Dorado; doing an Elvis show with Ace Crye, an Elvis Impersonator in Arkadelphia; performing and placing in a talent contest in Nashville, TN at the Grand Ole Opry House. The band recorded a single for release in the overseas market and charted 3rd on the country chart in Germany. The band has performed at many festivals and particulary love this type of show, including MusicFest in El Dorado, The Two Rivers Festival in Arkadelphia, The Arkla Fest in Junction City, The Cotton Belt Festival in Fordyce and just recently the Purple Hull Pea Festival in Emerson AR. The band is also well known for playing benefits concerts and dances for many charitable organizations, and they are a regular performer at the Hudson Nursing Home in El Dorado, AR. The residents at the nursing home can be seen singing and dancing along with the band. The Band has an upcoming show with Neal McCoy performing the 4th of July Celebration in the Park in Nashville, AR, check out the calendar for the dates. The band currently plays for country dance clubs around the area and continue to have a large fan base.

The band has said a sad goodbye to two of our beloved band members. Our drummer Robert Wiley passed away in 2007. Robert played with the band five years and we certainly miss his laughter and back up singing. Our lead guitar player for fourteen years, Mr. Monty Hilburn, passed away in 2005. Mr. Monty was there in the beginning and he was our rock for many years. He has been greatly missed by all. Both of these men were exceptional musicians as well as good men. They both fought a very brave battle with cancer. They will always be a part of the band, in spirit and memory.

Reece and Wanda Young currently have a CD for sale with several songs performed by the White Mustang Band as well as others. This CD can be picked up at their shows along with band T-shirts and caps.
